Making the Table of Contents . . . Before the Content?! (Content Dev)

[#WhatsYourMessage Day 3]

“It’s not painful, it’s fun!”

It’s Day 3 of creating my 2nd book #WhatsYourMessage!

This time, I’m sharing with you a “secret” to creating a book outline in 20 minutes! It’s basically making a Table of Contents before the actual Content (whuuut?). Yes, folks it’s another one of those reverse-engineering approaches.

So, here’s the thing…

Many people will not even think about writing a book. Why? Because it’s painful! Yup, the pain of thinking, writing, organizing, editing content, and the pain of setting aside a huge amount of time!

In this post, I’ll show you how I enjoy creating books, the painless way.

It’s a method I’ve learned combining concepts of mind mapping, meta-card planning and watching some youtube videos.

Here’s a 10-part video of how I’ve come up with the general content of my book. To see the videos, click “See More” below.

Let me know what you think. Is this process going to be of any help to you? Perhaps you are planning to write a book or preparing your future blog posts?
